EYES WIDE OPEN NOT KNOWING A THING
THEY CAN’T WALK – THEY CRY ALL DAY
THEY AIN’T GOT A SINGLE WORD TO SAY
AND THEY KNOW NOT WHAT THEY DO

THEY LOVE MILK AND MACARONI
TONKA TRUCKS – MY LITTLE PONIES
THEY SLEEP AND PLAY AND THEY PLAY AND SLEEP
GRINNING EAR TO EAR WITH THE KOOL AID CHEEKS (THOSE)

YOUNG’UNS MAKING THE WORLD GO ROUND
TURNING IT UPSIDE DOWN
THOSE BAREFOOT SCREAMIN’ BABIES
MAKIN’ NORMAL MOMS AND DADS GO CRAZY

YOUNG’UNS FILLIN’ OUR HEARTS WITH LOVE
SENT FROM UP ABOVE
EVEN WHEN YOU’RE MAD
YOU’LL STILL LOVE ‘EM – YOUNG’UNS

ONE DAY YOU SEND ‘EM OFF TO SCHOOL
FOR THEIR ABC’S AND TWO PLUS TWOS
‘CAUSE ONE DAY THEY’RE GONNA FILL OUR SHOES
HOW COULD WE NOT BELIEVE

THAT EACH ONE OF THOSE SHINING FACES
WILL MAKE THIS WORLD A BETTER PLACE
‘CAUSE EVERY BOY AND EVERY GIRL
HAS WHAT IT TAKES TO CHANGE THE WORLD

YOUNG’UNS MAKING THE WORLD GO ROUND
TURNING IT UPSIDE DOWN
IT’S THEIR WORLD AND IT’S THEIR TIME
IT’S NO LONGER YOURS AND MINE

YOUNG’UNS FILLIN’ OUR HEARTS WITH LOVE
SENT FROM UP ABOVE
THEY TEACH US WHILE WE LEARN FROM ‘EM
WE KNOW THEY’RE GONNA MAKE US SO PROUD OF ‘EM
YOUNG’UNS

0 Take A Walk (Lyric)

MY DADDY GREW UP WITH AN AM RADIO
LISTENING TO THE OUTLAWS
ON THE GRAND OLD OPRY SHOW
THIS OLD WORLD KEEPS SPINNING ROUND
SOME THINGS NEVER CHANGE
YOU MAY FORGET THE FACES
YOU WON’T FORGET THE NAMES

THEY’LL ALWAYS PLAY OLD WAYLON
‘CAUSE A LEGEND NEVER DIES
WILLIE TOOK THE HIGH ROAD
STILL GETS BUSTED ALL THE TIME
CASH SANG THE TRAIN SONGS
WHILE HANK WILLIAMS SANG THE BLUES
IF I HAD A TO PICK A FAVORITE
THERE’S NO WAY THAT I COULD CHOOSE

LET ‘EM SING
LET THE HARMONIES RING
TAKE ME DOWN
IN A BEAUTIFUL DREAM
ANY TIME I GET TO FEELING BLUE
I TURN ON THE RADIO AND
TAKE A WALK IN THEIR SHOES

I STILL REMEMBER THE FIRST SHOW I EVER SAW
IT WAS A MAN THEY CALL THE POSSUM
GOOD OL’ NO SHOW JONES
YOU COULD NOT HELP BUT LISTEN
TO THE WAY HE SANG THOSE SONGS
IT TOUCHED SOMETHING DEEP INSIDE ME
LIKE I’D KNOWN HIM ALL ALONG

WHEN I GOT BACK HOME
I FOUND MY OLD MAN’S 45’S
I TURNED OFF THE TV AND TOOK A TRIP THROUGH TIME

(REPEAT CHORUS)

WE SANG POOR WAYFARING STRANGER
AND GOD’S AMAZING GRACE
WHEN WE LAID MY DADDY DOWN
IN HIS FINAL RESTING PLACE
THE PREACHER’S WORDS OF COMFORT
MAN, THEY COULD NOT EASE MY PAIN
SO I PUT ON MERLE HAGGARD
LET SILVER WINGS TAKE ME AWAY

(REPEAT CHORUS)

ANY TIME YOU GET TO FEELING BLUE
JUST TURN ON THE RADIO AND TAKE A WALK IN THEIR SHOES

  • · Lyrics

SOMETIMES I’M THE GOOD GUY
I CAN’T DO NO WRONG
MY BABY WANTS MY LOVING FROM DUSK TIL DAWN

SOMETIMES I’M THE VILLAIN
AND I AIN’T SURE
WHAT IT WAS I DID OR THAT I SAID THAT HURT HER FEELINGS
(PAUSE) WOMEN

YOU GOT ME FEELING LIKE
SUPER MAN HOLDING KRYPTONITE
LIKE A AQUAMAN AT A FISH FRY
LIKE A ICEMAN ON THE 4TH OF JULY
YOU GOT ME FEELING LIKE……FEELING LIKE

THE INCREDIBLE HULK DOWNING PROZAC PILLS
LIKE A FLAT TIRE ON THE BAT MOBILE
LIKE A FLASH TRYING TO RUN IN 6 INCH HEELS
GIRL, YOU GOT ME WISHING FOR SOME X RAY VISION
TO SEE WHAT’S IN YOUR MIND
YOU MAKE ME WONDER, WOMAN

I CAN STOP THE SUN FROM CRASHING DOWN
WITH THE STRENGTH OF YOUR LOVE
I COULD SAVE THIS TOWN

I COULD STOP A TRAIN WITH ONE BARE HAND
I’M INVINCIBLE, GIRL, WHEN YOU’RE ON MY SIDE
BUT WHEN YOU TURN AGAINST ME NOTHIN’S RIGHT

(REPEAT CHORUS)

YOU GOT ME FEELIN’ LIKE SPIDER MAN
WITH NO WEB TO SPIN
LIKE IRON MAN
WITH A SUIT OF TIN
LIKE CHUCK NORRIS WITH A BALD CHIN
YOU GOT ME FEELING LIKE……FEELING LIKE

THE INCREDIBLE HULK DOWNING PROZAC PILLS
LIKE A FLAT TIRE ON THE BAT MOBILE
LIKE A FLASH TRYING TO RUN IN 6 INCH HEELS
GIRL, YOU GOT ME WISHING FOR SOME X RAY VISION
TO SEE WHAT’S IN YOUR MIND
YOU MAKE ME WONDER, WOMAN

0 Time Flies Faster and Faster

Mama always told me that time flies the older we get. Man, I’m finding out that she told me the truth. I can’t believe my last post was over two years ago. I signed a publishing deal in 2014 and have been writing like crazy since them.

I’m also working on a CD that will be available for download on the major download services. My music is ready, it’s just a matter of getting the CD cover completed and then sending them off.

It’s hard to believe I’ve been so “luckey” to live my dream of making music by writing it. I’m not different than anybody else, just hold on to your dreams too. Sometimes they change like mine did from performing to writing, but if they do change, it’s always for the best.

0 I’m Luckey

IMG_0534-1288366258-OI’m lucky, not when it comes to winning the lottery, but lucky to be healthy, have food to eat, and a place to live. Nope, don’t have the money to buy what I want or sometimes what I need, but I’m happy and money can’t buy that!

I’m Luckey, with an “e,” because my mom’s maiden name is Luckey. When I got into this music thing, I decided I wanted to use her name and just be Luckey. It seemed like a good thing to do since there’s nobody to carry on that name. I could tell it made her happy, LOL. So I became part of a country duo, Curtis and Luckey. We had a great time, met a lot of great guys and gals, and made a lot of friends. Don’t every let anybody tell you being on the road is an easy gig, it’s not. I know, I lived it.

I’m also Eric Moore, a writer of songs, musician, singer, and outdoor guy who is more at home in the woods and on the water than anyplace else. I love being outdoors there’s so much to see and hear. If you’ve never been outdoors when the sun comes up and heard all the woods come to life, it’s hard to understand. It’s pretty cool to leave all the noise behind and listen to nature play you her music.

I want to share some new songs with you as I write them.
